Gaines Tavenner is a partner in the Business Law department concentrating in banking and financial institutions law, commercial transactions, asset-based lending transactions and other secured and unsecured credit arrangements. He also practices in the Real Estate department, representing both lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate and financial transactions.

Representative Matters

  • Represented the lead bank in a $50 million syndicated credit facility secured by commercial assets and real estate.
  • Participated in the representation of a publicly-held client purchasing a marine materials handling facility.
  • Participated in the representation of a borrower in a $299 million secured syndicated credit facility from a group of financial institutions.
  • Represented a governmental financing authority in the closing of numerous commercial loans.
