Professional/Bar Leadership

The attorneys at Christian & Barton have a tradition of holding leadership roles in a wide variety of local, state and national organizations. For example, two Christian & Barton attorneys have served as president of the American College of Trial Lawyers; five have served as president of the Virginia State Bar, three have served as president of the Virginia Bar Association, and five firm attorneys have served as president of the Bar Association of the City of Richmond. In addition, Christian & Barton attorneys have served as officers, Section chairs and committee members of local, state and national bar associations, and many served as judicial clerks in state or federal courts prior to joining the firm.

Our attorneys are recognized by their peers for extraordinary contributions to the legal community. For example, a senior partner received the Hunter W. Martin Professionalism Award, which is presented by the Bar Association of the City of Richmond in recognition of exemplary career-long professionalism exhibited by a lawyer.
