Recognition

W. David Harless is one of three distinguished attorneys to receive the 2020 William J. Brennan Jr. Award, an honor given annually by the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law. Honorees are selected based on outstanding skills as trial lawyers and judiciary members, and significant contributions to advocacy education and the legal profession. Harless is a long-standing faculty member of the College, which provides intensive, hands-on advocacy training to practicing attorneys. He received the award at the College’s annual program in early January.

Recognition

Virginia Grigg received the 2020 Krista Latshaw Pro Bono Award from CancerLINC Nov. 13. CancerLINC is a Central Virginia based non-profit that helps individuals confronted with the overwhelming issues that arise from the diagnosis and treatment. The honor is presented annually to a volunteer attorney who has demonstrated unwavering commitment and service to those affected by cancer. Over the years, Grigg has served numerous clients by drafting wills, powers of attorney and advance medical directives, has provided programming on estate planning needs, and served on the Client Services Advisory Committee.
