Christian & Barton real estate attorney David D. Redmond was named a Washington and Lee University Distinguished Five-Star Alumni Award winner. The honor recognizes conspicuous contributions to the University, community service and personal and professional achievements.
During his career Redmond has been active in bar leadership, serving on the Richmond Bar Association’s Executive Committee and chair of the Real Estate Section. He has been a volunteer leader for many community organizations, including 35 years of service with St. Joseph’s Villa, where he chaired the board of trustees, the Villa Foundation and their first Capital Campaign (he is currently honorary chair of the second Capital Campaign). In 2018 he received the Volunteer Impact Award presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Central Virginia Chapter, in honor of his volunteer service to the Villa.
Redmond, who earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from W&L, has been a member of the W&L Alumni Association Board, president of the Law Council, and served on many undergraduate and law committees.
