Broadbent Recognized as Associate Member of the Year by Virginia Cable Industry Trade Group
Peter E. Broadbent Jr. was named Associate Member of the Year by the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association, a statewide trade group for the cable industry.
The annual award recognizes outstanding contributions to the VCTA and the cable industry by an association member not employed by a cable system operator. Broadbent serves as legal counsel to the VCTA and its member cable companies, and his work on cable franchising legislation is a nationally-recognized model for success.
When presenting the award, Ray LaMura, VCTA president, likened Broadbent to Batman. “You put out the call during a time of distress and he arrives with the answer. His knowledge of the Virginia cable statutes is unmatched. His knowledge of our industry’s legal matters places us in an advantageous position during industry meetings, mediation sessions and legislative hearings,” said LaMura.
