Megan Martz Gilliland is a partner in the Municipal Governance and Public Finance, Business Organizations and Corporations, and Taxation practice areas.  She concentrates her practice on public finance, local government, general corporate business and tax-related matters.

Representative Matters

  • Representation of borrowers, issuers, lenders and underwriters in various tax-exempt and taxable bond transactions, with an emphasis on governmental and 501(c)(3) financings.
  • Representation of local governmental bodies on various municipal governance matters. 
  • Assisted in the formation, ongoing operation, merger and sale of various types of business entities.
  • Representation of tax-exempt organizations, including forming and obtaining federal tax-exempt status, and advising on maintaining tax-exempt status and other ongoing operational matters.
